Dr. Rachel Hannum grew up in Georgia and Virginia and received her DVM from the VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduating she had a daughter and then worked at Companion Animal Clinic in Blacksburg, VA for 2 ½ years. She joined the staff of East Greenbush Animal Hospital in April 2007 and survived her first NY winter. Her professional interests include surgery, opthalmology, dermatology and small mammals. Rachel’s home is shared with her husband Chip, daughter Julia, son Dylan, four dogs (Cricket, Lily, Mei Mei and Snickers), two ferrets (Rudy and Fuzz), two rats (Flower and Blossom), and her husband’s collection of tarantulas. |
